Gnome meet Ely... Ely, Gnome.

Lazy day today... Actually I haven't woken up since our Avebury trip--been sleeping in Margaret's coat pocket so I guess I was forgotten. Maybe for the better though... from my understanding those two are rather... gassy.... and it might've been a blessing in disguise I was in pocket-lockdown.

Ran some errands today... went for a walk as well. Here we are out through the park by the cathedral in the background, then me with the Eel hive and then a pic of the cathedral.

Today was actually fairly sunny! I think we hit double digit Celsius today and there were only scattered patches of grey today... how lovely. Last week we had a few days of freezing fog.. I didn't know that was possible but apparently fog gets so cold it can be... freezing?

My next trip that I know of isn't unti February for Valentine's Day in Paris. I'm not sure what this day's significance is but it's fairly important to Margaret and Clint. Gnomes don't have a "Valentine's day"... Then again, there isn't a Mrs. Gnome Chomsky in my life so maybe it doesn't matter.... Alas, I'm but a "single" as they say in the states...

Hello... my name is David.

I'm David Cedric "The Gnome" Chomsky and I will periodically be taking over Margaret's blog until she gets her head straight enough to write stuff herself. So far she's been busy settling into a life here with my buddy Clint, whom I live with as well. I have been living on his desk by his computer monitor and every now and then I tag along with some of Clint's travels. Now that Margaret is here, I'll be traveling with the two of them.
A little more about me? I'm from Devonshireton, UK and I was born April 23, 1805 (we have an average lifespan of 375 years). I thoroughly enjoy scones with coffee (Clint got me liking coffee). My favorite movie has to be Shawshank Redemption--I love the part when he escapes through the pipes. I've known gnomes who end up getting stuck in the pipework and stuff so I'm impressed by how he is able to work his way out and not get stuck... they must be big pipes I imagine. I also love beaches, and when he meets the darker gnome out by the beach it makes me green with envy! My favorite show is this show Margaret watches about three very large bosomed lady gnomes and a very old gnome whom they live with... his name is Hugh I think? Not like our Hugh Grant... no no, this gnome is much older, maybe 325 years old or so... Hefner I think is his name. And the shows is Gnomes next door? No, Girls Next Door. Yes, that's what it is. The gnomes I know don't have quite the bosoms these ladies do but many an Englishwoman have quite the calves. I think Margaret calls them cankles.

So, our first trip all together was to Avebury, an ancient stone henge much like... Stonehenge. But less famous, more ancient, and you can actually touch the rocks! I climbed up one... You can get a better idea of the size of the stone on Margaret's picasa page.

OK, that is all for now. I just wanted to introduce myself to everyone! Cheers!
